How we behave, not just what we deliver
Values at Wellmens are about everyday behaviour. They influence how we plan works in a live ward, how we talk about risk in a meeting and what we do when something is not going to plan. They are as important on a small enabling project as they are on a large programme.
Safety comes first. Clarity means we communicate openly and use plain language. Care means we respect people and places, whether that is a clinical space, an office floor or a logistics hub. Together these values shape decisions so projects are delivered in a way clients recognise and trust.
Our values are agreed at board level and lived by project teams. They show up in briefings, method statements, progress reviews and how we respond when challenges appear on site.
What our values look like day to day
Safety first, always
Method statements and risk assessments that reflect live conditions, not just standard templates, with people empowered to stop work if something is not right.
Clarity and honesty
Clear communication with clients, design teams and suppliers about progress, risks and change so there are fewer surprises and faster decisions.
Care for people and places
Respectful behaviour on live sites, tidy workfaces and extra thought for patients, staff, neighbours and building users affected by what we do.
Collaboration not blame
Working with consultants, suppliers and client teams to solve problems together rather than passing issues back and forth.
Learning and improvement
Taking lessons from each project into the next one through debriefs, shared standards and mentoring for newer team members.
Integrity in decisions
Doing the right thing even when it is not the easiest option, whether that is programme, cost or a quality decision on site.
